The 4th TRANSMAROCAINE CHALLENGE

MULTI-SPORTS CHALLENGE

7th - 15th March 2009 – Morocco

Open to athletes (Men & Women) of all levels –Team Competition (2 competitors per team – men, women or mixed combination)

Challenges include RUNNING/ walking- ORIENTEERING/ MOUNTAIN BIKING (with orienteering) – CANOE – ABSEILING – RUN & BIKE

The TRANSMAROCAINE is a Multi-Sports Challenge – a team challenge (two competitor per team – men or women or mixed)

The Challenge: (Running: 12Km, Mountain Biking: 98Km – Orienteering: 20Km – Abseiling : 2 sites 150m - Canoe: 5Km)
Nine days of discovery of Morocco including 5 days of strain and pleasure on itineraries chosen by the competitors, on various kinds of lands: dunes, stony lands, tracks, Wadi / rivers, palm groves fields, mountains, oases and cascades.

The competitors will have to overcome natural obstacles through sporty practices respectful of the environment, to organise their supplies, to optimise their rest time and to get on with all weather conditions.

The TRANSMAROCAINE creates a link between the ocean and the beautiful city of Marrakech departing from the seaside city of Essaouira, towards Marrakech via the High Atlas Mountains through the HAOUZ Province and the towns and villages of ASNI, IMLIL, and TAHANAOUT.

The TRANSMAROCAINE also features a corporate / companies challenge “LE CHALLENGE OCP DES ENTREPRISES”

Helping Hands

EDUCATION: Gifts of various school equipment or furniture
SOCIAL: Help to local associations and training of their staff
MEDICAL: gifts of various materials and care given by the medical team in the villages crossed by the race.

2009 Registrations:

£590 per competitor (£1180 per team) Including: 3 Nights Accommodation in a hotel, half board basis + Transfers (Ground Transportation) + Assistance & Logistic + Medical Assistance + Prize Presentation Ceremony.

Compulsory Equipments: Mountain Bike + Harness (Climbing gear) + Helmet + Tent + Sleeping bag /Duvet.

The price does not include the flight from London to MARRAKECH.
